Who we are

This site is run by Chad Green Motorsports, an NHRA Funny Car team based in Midland, Texas. When this page says "we," that's who it means. Questions go to the address at the bottom of this page.

What we collect, and why

What you give us

• Team updates: your email address.
• Contact form: your name, email, what it's about and your message.
• Sponsor inquiries: your name, email, company and your message.

With each one, we also note which page you sent it from and when, so we know where to reply and what's working. We use it to send the updates you asked for and to answer you — nothing else.

What we measure (only if you say OK)

If you choose "OK by me" on the cookie notice, Google Analytics tells us which pages get visited, roughly where visitors are, what kind of device they use and how they found us. That's how we see what's working. Say no, and nothing is measured — the site works exactly the same.

What every website keeps

Like any site, our hosting keeps standard server logs: the address your connection comes from, the time and the page requested. We use them to keep the site running and secure, and for nothing else.

Cookies

We set no tracking cookies until you say OK. Here's the whole list:

• Your cookie choice. Stored in your own browser (under the name "cgm-consent") so we don't ask again on every page. It is never sent anywhere. We ask again after a year.
• Google Analytics (_ga, _ga_*) — set only after you choose "OK by me." They let Google Analytics tell a return visit from a new one. Change your mind under "Cookie settings" in the footer: we delete them and stop measuring immediately.
• YouTube. Videos on this site are embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube sets nothing until you press play. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies.

Who handles it for us

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone to market to you. A few services handle data on our behalf, only to run this site:

• Our email service. The list runs on Sendy, hosted by our agency, and messages go out through Amazon Web Services.
• Google (Google Analytics and Tag Manager) — only after you say OK.
• Our web host, which runs the site and keeps the server logs.
• YouTube (Google), when you play an embedded video.

Links to Instagram and YouTube take you to those platforms, where their own policies apply.

How long we keep it

• Your email stays on the list until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.
• Contact and sponsor messages are kept as long as we need them to reply and follow up.
• Analytics data is kept for as long as our Google Analytics retention setting allows.
• Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted.

Your choices

• Emails: every one has an unsubscribe link. One click, effective now.
• Cookies: "Cookie settings" in the footer, any time.
• Your information: email the address below to ask us what we hold about you, how to correct it or how to delete it, and we'll do it. If you live somewhere with privacy laws that give you specific rights (California, the EU and the UK, among others), those rights apply and you exercise them the same way.

Kids

This site isn't aimed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has given us some, tell us and we'll delete it.

Changes

When this policy changes, the "as of" date below changes with it.
